We had occasion to utilize the services of Assistance Home Care for our 95 year old mother when she returned to our home from a hospital stay.  She came home weak and depressed since this was her 5th time in the hospital in 5 months. We had 2 RNA's, Maya and Kristen, who came to our house and worked with her 5 hours every day of the week.  They cared for an infection that she developed in the hospital, prepared breakfast and lunch for her, helped with showering and dressing as she needed it and encouraged and monitored her physical therapies to regain her strength.  But, most importantly, they listened to her, letting her rest when she needed it and just visiting with her when she needed to talk. Because of their care and encouragement, after 3 weeks she was able to go on a 10 day visit to her 2 great granddaughters out of state.  We can't thank them enough!

We are so happy with Assistance Home Care. We absolutely love his caretaker Kevin. He takes such excellent care of my dad.  He is very caring with him.  In November of 2025 my dad had a silent massive heart attack, when Kevin was with him.  Because dad has a pacemaker, he couldn’t  feel the heart attack, but Kevin knew something was not right.  He was supposed to be off duty, but refused to leave him until someone could get to the house. My sister got there first and Kevin stay to help get him in the car.  Kevin asked us to call him, when we knew what was going on with him.  Because of Kevin, my dad is still here.

Our family is so thankful for Assistance Home Care.  We worked closely with both Amanda and Vicky to ensure Mom was well cared for.  Mom was recovering from hip replacement surgery, and Dad had cancer, so finding the right person was essential.  Vicky and Amanda chose a caregiver they knew would be a "good fit" to care for Mom.  In addition, Assistance Home Care offers a special service in which monitors can be placed in various rooms in the house that will detect a FALL.  This was ideal, given both Mom and Dad's health issues.  We are thankful that Dad's fall was immediately detected.  Everything was OK, but it's an amazing piece of technology. We have been very happy with the professional staff that are taking care of my parents.  They have done what has been asked of them  with kindness and caring with my parents being top priority   They assisted me at the drs office appointment with much needed help and acted very professional. The dr office staff called me to ask me what company we were using because they said they were the most respectful and professional they have seen ( shout out to Bryla!) I couldn’t have done it without her help Working with Chris has been a great experience. We have regular check-ins and has made several trips out to my parents home to make sure all is running smoothly and has given us some very helpful safety suggestions. I have Assistance Home Care   I am Sooo PLEASED with the care I have been given. I have four girls that are assigned to me. They are like family. Or should I say sisters? They take care of my meds and when they should be taken. They are always asking can I fix you something to drink or eat. If I have to go to the doctor they will take me. I was in the hospital for two days and one of the girls stayed with me. She gave me better care than the hospital nurse. If someone is reading this and needs  home health care or someone in the family I would HIGHLY recommend them.

Assistance Home Care has provided excellent care for my father. The care givers are excellent- caring, competent, and attentive.  AHC has tried, but has not always been successful in, maintaining a consistent care team. When an upset occurs, they work diligently and communicate well with me to find a solution. Amanda was a godsend! My father recently had to be transported by ambulance to the emergency room. He is 97 and was in great health prior to this. The hospital treated him and inserted a catheter that needs to stay in. Unable to get out of bed and have his regular routine I was lost as to where to start. Amanda came to the rescue and did a quick in-house evaluation and set everything up. With her direction a care giver had been set up within a couple days and my father is able to be sponge bathed and hopefully be dressed soon. They are able to help him if he falls and monitors are also set up to evaluate any falls and collect information for additional medical care. I didn’t want him to go into assisted living because his mind is sharp and didn’t want him to feel abandoned by the family. He is now able to stay with me and have the care he needs that I was unable to provide by myself. I am very grateful for Amanda and cannot be more thankful for her assistance.

When my mother wouldn’t respond to us it was Ernestine who could get her to do whatever we needed. Taking pills, eating walking etc. She was so great with my Dad giving him someone to talk to as he was struggling with caring for her. There are so many emotions and responsibilities involved when a loved one suddenly finds themselves in a whole new world due to an incapacitating event. This was the case when our 97 year old mother suffered a serious stroke.  Up until the stroke, she had been living independently in her home for over 60 years.  While a skilled nursing facility (SNF) may offer the best chances for rehabilitation, the very nature of a SNF makes it difficult to provide the kind of personal attention that elderly care requires. This is where Assistance Home Care (AHC) comes into the picture.  In our Mom's case, the stroke had left her with a partially paralyzed right side and the inability to talk, but very cognizant of her situation.  While being strong-willed would help with the various therapies needed in her recovery, it also made her actions at night unpredictable and potientally harmful when there were less structured activities available.  AHC was able to provide care professionals to be with her at the SNF from 7PM-7AM.  Eveything from personal care, feeding, dressing assistance, cleaning, and just "being there" to advocate for her provided invaluable help to Mom and peace of mind for us.  Perhaps the biggest supporter of AHC was Mom herself.  When we asked if she thought that she no longer needed AHC, she let us know by a number of non-verbal communication methods that she absolutely wanted them there at night!  Decision made. :) In addition to the services provided, AHC is very proactive in communication.  Whether it was questions about policy or an issue that needed addressing, responses and actions from not only our case manager but from any of the staff members were quick and decisive.  There is also a portal called the "Family Room" that allows family members to view daily care logs, schedule of care professionals, invoices, and the requirements for the AHC care professionals requested. I would highly recommend talking to AHC to provide home care services for anybody in need - be it in the home or in a SNF.
