CenterWell Home Health Team Visits Our Assistance Home Care Training Home
We recently had the pleasure of welcoming our friends from CenterWell Home Health into our Training Home for a hands-on DME (Durable Medical Equipment) Skills Workshop. Their team of PTAs, OTAs, and LPNs spent the day practicing, learning, and sharpening their skills in our immersive, real-life home care training environment. ❤️
Inside Our Caregiver Training Home
Our Training Home is a one-of-a-kind resource in St. Louis — designed to replicate a true home environment where care happens every day. Each room is intentionally equipped to provide hands-on, practical training for both professionals and families.
Some of the unique features include:
-
Bedroom & Living Room Setups for practicing safe transfers, fall prevention, and mobility support in real-world layouts.
-
Kitchen & Bathroom Scenarios for training on adaptive equipment, safety modifications, and daily living support.
-
Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Integration including hospital beds, lift systems, walkers, wheelchairs, and more — so caregivers and clinicians can gain confidence using the same tools families rely on at home.
-
Hands-On Learning for Dementia Care with scenarios that help caregivers better understand how to create safe, supportive, and comfortable environments for those living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
This immersive space ensures that when our Care Professionals walk out our door and into our Clients’ homes, they don’t just have knowledge, they have hands-on experience.
